Perez Denies that Players Urges Dismissal Mourinho
Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez, has denied that the captain Iker Casillas and defender Sergio Ramos urged the club sacked coach Jose Mourinho in June.
As reported Madrid newspaper Marca, Casillas and Ramos met with Perez and director Jose Angel Sanchez. They also convey pressure to sack Mourinho's club. If not, some of the key players will leave Madrid.
Because of the news, Perez was forced to hold a press conference to give an explanation. "Because of the seriousness of this situation, I broke my own personal rule not want to talk about day to day activities of the club," said Perez.
"It (the news) that I had lunch with the captain of the team and the director general, then given an ultimatum about the coach or something is really wrong. Results lunch conversation was, we agreed bonus for the team this season. Meeting took place in an atmosphere of good and the captain to be fine, "he explained.
Perez went on to say, "What has been reported is not true at all. I can accept criticism, though his criticism is not fair or I do not agree that criticism. However, there are ethical boundaries that should be respected every person. Nobody contacted me. no one who was also present at the lunch were speaking to the media. "
"This is very serious. I can understand someone who wants someone else to leave the club. But, I guess not ethically spread lies like this. Been happening many times and I hope this is the last one. I am here to confirm one thing clearly. The story (news Marca) is a lie, "he said.
"I also want to remind you all that the union of all members of the club and the fans are what make this club the best in the world. And, we who determine the future of the club," he added.
